I like how the he says the director! Does extreme research into the films he puts out. And I like how the other film wasn't scripted but sounds like it didn't get out of control. Deep research same with the Witch; he picks good films and something not scripted.

Adam Sander looks a lot like Al Pacino in this movie.

Was this trailer edited by the same artists who edited the trailer for “Hereditary?” They have a similar style, and share the same studio and producer. If they were, give them a raise! They were some of the best trailers this past decade, and definitely sold me on the films.

1:09 He can pass off as Charlton Heston's Moses. The perfect film for the late night movie watchers. I thought this was better than Joker and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and I should say that I loved those too. But this. This. This movie had me on the edge of my seat and my nails are shorter than ever!
Yes, there were some slower parts, but they all required to understand the other parts of the movie. The music scores made it terrifying and the two actors did SUCH AN INCREDIBLE JOB that I could've watched this if it was a silent film.
Robert Pattinson KILLED his role. Twilight who? I only know lighthouse. And can't wait for Batman now!.

Godammit, is movie is as close to perfect as can be. It immaculately blends powerful horror and great humor. The cinematography is breathtaking, and its amplified by the black-and-white, 35mm, 1.19:1 aesthetic of the film. Its brilliantly paced; theres not a single dull moment to be found, and tension is constantly rising. And of course, its damn near impossible to praise this film without mentioning the stellar acting. Pattinson is amazing in his own right, but its Defoe who steals the show, and if any performance is going to give him the Oscar he rightfully deserves, its this one. I could sing this masterpieces praises to high heaven for days on end. I am absolutely obsessed with this insane little delight of a film, and I greatly anticipate what Eggers has in store for us in the future. Bravo.

I know Im a kid and all but dont believe me if you dont believe me. I like horror and this is one of my favourites. Holy Shit! Masterpiece! Amazing. Dafoe is in the center of the universe. it's like this movie was meant to be and has been inspired by the gods... Code: Pandorum- The Witch <3. Mini-Review: Disturbing isn't even the word. The pure insanity that flows like a river throughout the film is enthralling and kept me thinking long after the credits had rolled. Watching how the story unfolds and how it effects the lighthouse keepers is something I never thought could be so interesting, yet so horrifying. All put together with some of the most beautiful cinematography I've ever seen and we have ourselves a great film.

An Adam Sandler movie thats serious and not a Netflix movie in the late 2010s? Sign me up. 0:47 when you found out youre gonna be Batman. This reminds me of Of Mice and Men. Or just any school book movie. Robert Eggers is one of my favorite directors working today and he succeeds in his second feature film. The Eggers' brother's writing is done expertly well leaving just enough ambiguity and direction to keep audiences invested. Of course, Robert Eggers direction and style of this film is impeccable and is lead by Oscar worthy performances out of Dafoe and Pattinson. The score and sound design is done very well and sounds like a piece of art. The cinematography is quite gorgeous in a lot of shots specifically those taking place outside but the whole film is shot well. Overall, this film is a masterpiece and competes to be my favorite film of the year.

Dont let this distract you from the fact that hector is gunna be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, And on top of that he just came into harrys and ordered three T66 turbos with NOS and Motec System exhaust. This scene deserves more Oscars than Endgame.

Another Hollywood demonic film... Dude holy crap just rewatched this, thank you for putting that scene at 2:07 in, at the theatre that scene made me more terrified than any other scene from any film for some reason. insane scene.

Willem Dafoe. will see for sure

I'm glad I watched this movie in theater and not at home. Her screams sounded so much more powerful and menacing at the cinema. How come I don't see people praising this for how much it looks like a classic horror film from the 20's and 30's. The combination of the beautiful and erotic with the disturbing and grotesque is so striking. Robert Eggers really be out here saving cinema. KG is surprisingly good. Team Edward or Dafoe. I absolutely can not WAIT for this movie. i hope the shot of DeFoe screaming with the waves crashing against the Lighthouse plays exactly like that. that scene alone gives me chills.

Just watched this. That was insane! Some really cool shots in there. When Dafoe had the light ray eyes and the very last scene of Pattinson being pecked alive seemed epicly mythological. That distorted scream Pattinson does when he's looking directly into the light was crazy too.

First I found Lighthouse and now Witch. This weekend is going to be fun. I want Willem to read me Stephen King books every night before I go to bed.
